One week already!!

Can you believe it I made it one week so far. LOL and my Mom said I couldn't do it. Of course I have to prove her wrong..LOL
We are now heading to GA. We went into NE. to pick up a load of meat from Tysons and now we are heading to GA to the Kroger warehouse. We have had great weather and have been blessed with safe travels. The truck is a little on the rough side. When we stop for the night I have no trouble falling asleep. You would think sitting all day in a truck I wouldn't be tried but it does something to you. I guess it's the constant movement.
It's sometimes is hard to remember what state we are in and what day of the week it is.... I have so far stopped in 8 states, not including the states we have gone through.
It's 9:44 am and it's already 82 degrees, can anyone say HOT!!! :-) thank you Lord for air conditioners.....
Until tomorrow

On the road again

Hello everyone... sorry I haven't been posting anything for a couple of days. I have now lost the use of my computer. IM having to use Ed's laptop. Our last couple of days have been crazy. We would leave one place and had to get to another in so many hours. We went all the way up to NH. Beautiful scenery. Conn. was very green. A different green then in Cleveland. It was like a blue/green color, very rich in color, very clean too. I couldn't beleive the mountains in NH, Mass and Conn.

We are now headed to IA, dropping off some materials, going to NE to pick up some meat products and heading then down to GA. All of this in a couple of days. No rest for the weary.

Until then... honk honk Danita

Another beautiful day here in NJ. We had to arrive at 4:30am to delivery this load of dipping sauce and we are still here. The fun of this game. Hurry and wait. It is now 9:00am and we havent' eaten any breakfast. Of course a roach coach just went by, but there is something about a place to get food being called roach coach that turns me off. I think I will pass on that and just wait. Yesterday, was a little crazy. Here Ed and I are in this truck together 24 hours and we feel a little disconnected. I guess IM reminded that work comes first. Ahh at last our paperwork is ready and we are now on our way to a new drop off in another city in NJ. IM hoping to get a glimpse of Lady Liberty as we drive by. We are not sure how close we will be but I will strain every eye muscle and try. Until then Honk Honk, Danita
PS.. IM still smiling :-)

Monday June 21

Good Morning everyone... Our day started at 4:30 am. I know I didn't have to get up since I wasn't driving but I want to keep some kind of schedule as Ed. It was nice to watch the sun come up and kiss the day good morning. We are at our first destination, getting unloaded. This afternoon we will pick up a new load going to Elizabethtown, NJ. We were hoping to go west but we are at the mercy of his dispatcher and the job. I slept better last night in the truck then I had the first few nights. How easy we can adapt to something. If something exciting happens I will post it otherwise I will post again tomorrow.. Until then HONK, HONK Danita

Hello Everyone... Well two days on the road and it feels like a month. Ed said it will take awhile for me to adjust to the constant moving. I did learn one thing very important. If you get car sick you probably will get truck sick. I will have to buy some meds. Our travels took us into NJ and back into PA. We are home for the weekend but will leave out Sunday evening to Columbus Ohio. We are hoping our next adventure will be out west... Even through all the adjustments, I love being with my husband and watching him work. I appreciate him even more now because I have a better understanding of his job. Hope to have more exciting news as our travels take us further. Until then... HONK HONK Danita

Starting date June 16,2010

Packing for the trip.. How do you pack for a month in a truck? I always pack more then I need. This will be very interesting how many times I do change clothes. Ed tells me there is places to wash clothes. I really can't wait to get on the road and see this country from the window of a 18 wheeler.

Please bare with me as I learn the art of blogging. I have never done this before. I will try and post things daily and post pictures.

Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers for a safe trip.
Until I type again
